We stopped here as it looked busy with locals having lunch at the bar. There are only a few stools so we stood at the bar with the locals and had a couple of beers with the Granada customary tapas. There’s a restaurant through the back of the bar but we stayed out front. It’s a buzzing place serving Alhambra beer and good (free) tapas. I have posted a review as the theme of current reviews is a bit negative, we experienced good service and consider €8 for 4 beers and tapas good value. Give it a go!
Only one way to describe this place the real deal. I actually thought about not reviewing it as too many tourists might spoil it. However, it has been reviewed previously so here goes.... We went in later on a Sunday evening and were the only non locals in the place. A couple of beers ordered and the tapas that came were the best prawn fritters of the trip. Other tapas that we got included fried anchovies, absolutely delicious.
Located behind a busy small bar, the large, bright and airy restaurant is busy with locals having lunch. There are a couple of large round tables for big family groups or for celebrations maybe 8 people per table. The food is typically simple menu de dia but we were surprised by the generous and well presented salads. 12.5E is great value for such a pleasant experience.
Excellent food. Fresh and tasty. Very friendly staff. Local people. Portions are big so its better to ask a waiter for recommendation to share it for 2 or not.
