Shows the best sushi restaurant in Michigan. It is a little hard to find in the corner of a stripe shopping center west of the side of the lansing snapped away near the destination. Friendly owners and employees, clean and cozy environment. Price is for good quality sushi to expect on par with other popular Japanese restaurants (nigris are actually cheaper for certain menus). They prep everything themselves in the sauce, nothing in their menu is prefabricated or frozen in bulk. Best quality of sushi rice in the city (contrary to the popular beliefs quality of rice is the most important factor when it comes to assessing the taste of sushi. Top sushi restaurants around the world have kept their recipe for sushi rice secret by generations), and you will not be able to experience sushi better than here at least in larger lansing area. Also they just began to serve ramen, you should also check them!
I had no sushi in almost a year and that was a great stop! Everything was clean and tidy. I had to use the bathroom and it smells so nice in there. I loved the soy sauce in small teapots. It seemed to confuse some people, even us, but I loved it. My partner and I had two roles each and they were well built. I had the dragon and aal role (so good) and my partner had the MSU and 007 role. The 007 is huge; it is definitely a two bite roll! I think I enjoyed the most natural ginger pieces. Other places have dyed ginger and this ginger was delicious.
I would advise against going to Sushi Moto. We were recommended to try it by a family member while visiting from out of town, but we found it to be a very disappointing experience.
Absolutely amazing quality sushi. I'll get out every Friday for almost a year and it was fantastic every time. Thanks for a great job.
