As of November 1, this restaurant has changed hands. This was our go to Japanese restaurant when traveling near Coquitlam. The new owners seem very pleasant, have added a big screen TV, now open on holidays and are in the process of updating the furniture. Nice changes!The food quality is good. As a bonus, the restaurant has been providing customers complimentary appies such as deep fried rolls, edamame and miso soup. Very nice touch. The rolls have changed for the better, much larger than in the past. The raw sushi slices have also increased in size...welcomed! As always, the bento boxes are a great value and under $10.Wishing this restaurant all the best!
This place used to be incredible. New owners missed the mark. Not very fresh and prices have increased. Used to go there twice a week . New owners couldn't get our order right specifically ordered no cucumber as can't digest. Everything cane with cucumber and waitress had the nerve to ask if it was ok. NO its not ok we specifically ordered no cucumber. Wont be back.
Small place. I think it's a family business, but i'm not sure. Had dinner there few times, tried the Nagiri Sushi, the Maki Sushi and the Sashimi. All the food is fresh and tasty. The prices are low and the service is quick.
We really like Sushi Karis in Coquitlam. Service is friendly and the sushi is fresh and very good. Prices are reasonable and they do nice take out platters as well. Great place to have in the Austin Heights neighbourhood.
