2 friends and I went to this facility on Saturday 3rd september on the afternoon. there were some other people when we came in. another couple standing at the tasting bar with the server behind the bar. I stopped and took 3 tasting menus and pencils. the server was with the couple, but never recognized when we left to a table. the other couple had left the cash, and the server went over her business. I called her from the table and asked if we could make a tasting at our table. she rolled her eyes, but committed. not even she ever came back to us to ask if we have asked, or whether we want to place a job for eating or even have spoken to us. when we were done, one of my friends went into the cash to pay, and the server told her it was $47. my friend informed her that she only paid one tasting. if the server had harassed her job, she would know how the payment would actually be. I left a cash payment for 2 on the table. on the way out, my other friend stopped using the toilet room. I and my other friend went to the car; the girl who used the toilet room went out and heard that the server badly talked about us to another worker. unprofessional. I don't know if this server is a server. we said this place could be better, with better help.
This is a really great new business in town and A really open and airy atmosphere. Every time that I have stopped in, which is usually to purchase wine for gifts for others, the employees are really friendly and quick to answer any questions. They purchased the building from a person who used to have an antique business there. Everything is all cathedral ceilings with post and beam. Really beautiful. They do live music in the summer and they also do food trucks, although I havent had a chance to experience that yet.
What an absolutly beautiful vineyard. Sunset Meadows in Goshen CT is around the corner from us and a personal favorite. Now we have an exciting option after a short trip north to enjoy our favorites plus some of their unique offerings. Thank you to wonderful ladies that welcomed us today.
beautiful to see that smw is extended to scale! the same wee, but a much larger space that easily houses large parties and private events.
