Stony Hill Inn - Table reservation

I looked at the menu online but when we arrived the printed menu provided two pieces of paper stapled together, previously used was completely different. It looked like a menu from a pizza place, a few basic Italian dishes, even the specials were simple items like clams oreganata, etc. We left and went to a very nice local restaurant that fortunately had an opening for us. We found out later that The Stony Hill Inn is closing in August, so I guess they replaced the menu with what's basically Italian diner food that can be made by short order cooks

We were not warned in advance when we made our reservation that two large parties would occupy most of the restaurant. We were seated in a very noisy bar area only seating available. Difficult to converse. And because of the location of our table there was a constant flow of diners walking past us. Food ranged from very good to just OK. Not a good dining experience

Fantastic place. Food was outstanding and the service was out of this world. What a shame this place is closing. We absolutely love this establishment

Birthday Old world charm, delicious food, a stronghold for Great Dining. Sorry it will close soon
