I have been coming to Speakeasy Coffee for years and it is by far my favorite shop! Their food and drink quality is very high, their menu changes seasonally to keep things interesting, and they don't suffer from issues with consistency like the chain coffee stores in the area. I love coming here to grab a coffee before I head to the park, or to enjoy breakfast and a drink after walking the towpath. Their live music nights are always a treat too! There aren't many coffee shops like this left that have such a nice atmosphere. It's so worth stopping by! Vegetarian options: Any of their breakfast or lunch sandwhich options can be made vegetarian, and they have many options on their menu that are already vegetarian. All cooked food is made to order, so there is no cross contamination. Dietary restrictions: Being a cafe, the menu is smaller, but they do have options that would serve most dietary restrictions, including lactose intolerance, vegetarian/vegan, etc. They have baked goods and sweets, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and fresh fruits and bagged options like chips in addition to a wide variety of coffees, teas, and other drinks. Parking: Street parking is available right in front, or there is a free public lot 3 businesses down on the main road. Or, you can park at St. Helena Heritage Park and enjoy a short walk up to enjoy the sights. Kid-friendliness: This cafe is definitely child and family friendly. It is church run, and they don't seem to play music with any foul language or explicit topics in the background. They have a lovely, wide open space with a variety of couches and tables and they provide board games for their customers to enjoy. They offer dine-in service, not just to-go. The atmosphere is quiet though, as most coffee shops are, so it might be best to be curtious and take take really loud or unruly children to the park after stopping in so you don't bother other patrons.

1st time I have visited this coffee shop. Saturday morning. It is the perfect coffee shop. Seasonal drinks, local items for sale, and a great atmosphere. You have a teacher tutoring at a table, old friends catching up at another, and a mom and daughter enjoying a coffee cake and hot chocolate on a couch. A must stop for that pick me up and sandwich/breakfast item. Food: 5
