I recently ordered from Sonargaon Tandoori restaurant and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. Despite road closures in the town on a busy Saturday night, I was willing to wait for my takeaway delivery. However, the service provided and the quality of the food left much to be desired. After an initial 20-minute delay, I called the restaurant for an update. They assured me that my order was on its way, and although I understood the challenges they were facing, I patiently awaited its arrival. Another 20 minutes passed, and with no sign of my food, I reached out again. This time, I was informed about the road closures and a parked van causing difficulties for the delivery drivers to find suitable parking spots. They assured me that my order had just been dispatched and would arrive shortly. Trusting their word, I continued to wait, hoping for a satisfying meal. Regrettably, when the food finally arrived, it was disheartening to find that it was cold. Despite their claim of sending out fresh food, it had been in transit for an hour. This lack of attention to maintaining the food's temperature was disappointing. What further exacerbated my disappointment was the fact that I had been misled on multiple occasions. Instead of being transparent about the challenges they were facing, the restaurant provided false information about the status of my order. Had they been forthcoming, I would have considered collecting the food myself to ensure its warmth. Considering the significant amount I spent on the order, around £50, I had expected better customer service and a higher level of care. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Sonargaon Tandoori. It is disheartening to say that I won't be returning to this restaurant in the future. My encounter with Sonargaon Tandoori was marked by poor customer service, misleading information, and the delivery of cold food. It is my hope that the restaurant takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their service to provide a better dining experience for their customers.
