Atithi devo bhava means the guest is equivalent of a god is a popular Indian scripture and every Indian is brought up with these values. I am an Indian and I went to this restaurant during my visit to the UK. Not knowing the culture in the UK I made a mistake of not ordering all main course at one go and yes this is quite normal back at home. Since a lot of Indians are against wasting food they order more food only if required and also not all restaurants serve the same portion. Since we quite liked their dal (lentils) we ordered another portion. The attendant was shockingly rude and refused to serve us. While the restaurant may be Indian in their cuisine I really didn't think they were Indian at heart and I would never come back here again

Had many takeaways and ate in at Shimla pink many times BUT has now changed hands and is called Elachi. Had a take-away a couple of weeks ago and was pretty awful. Food was tasteless, portions small and took over mins to be delivered....Real shame has changed and would now not touch with a barge pole also still Shimla Pink website is still live so beware as when i called and ordered they did notsay it was no longer Shimla Pink.
Such a shame, has changed hands and didn’t like the food. Had a special offer for early diners but even at a cheap price I wouldn’t eat. No flavour, bad taste and a waste of money. So sorry but not my place to go to...anymore.
