I ordered a meal for delivery for the first time last night and it was awful! The meal took an eternity to arrive, I Called the restaurant to ask where it was and the person on the phone said that the driver had already left and would be with me in 15 to 20 minutes! another half an hour later it finally arrived, the delivery guy was extremely rude, stating he had parked at the courtyard gates and could I come out next time before angrily handing me my meal, my flat is ground floor and five strides from the gate! hardly a walk of the century! my food was freezing cold, the starter not cooked properly , there was no mint sauce for the starter, my dupiaza carton was swimming in grease and the paper bag covered in it, it had no taste whoever it was cold and the pilau rice was swimming in water, this was one of the worst Indians I have ever had and I couldn't eat it thats how bad it was, the lamb was sodden in water so I am guessing they must pre boil it before chucking it into the sauce this would explain the watery bland taste Id avoid this restaurant like the plague glad I paid via PayPal as Ill be asking for my cash back
I was shocked by the customer service we received. They had very bad quality food, tough meat semi cooked looking curry. We called back and they said they know us so they will look after us next time and not to worry about it. I called back a few days later and the guy said that its not sending me what they messed up because its only one meal and its not worth sending a driver to me. I asked for a refund for the food and they refused give me a refund on the food or giving me my food the attitude was appalling. Having nearly £1000 in a year in a place and being treated like that, was shocking. Not gonna order from there again they stole my money!
Delivery was within 15 minutes! Portion sizes are good. Rice was dried out. Lamb pasanda was mainly an overly sweet gravy, with a just few chunks of tasteless lamb. Sag chicken was ok. Aloo dishes very good. I think they're trying to appeal to a British market by leaving out most of the spices and seasoning that make Indian food so delicious. It was all rather bland. They don't necessarily need to reach for the chilis, but they certainly need to spice up the food.
Delivery didn't take that long however the quality of the food was poor. I ordered the mixed starter the onion bhaji and samosa were both dripping in oil, the Lamb tikka was so dry I almost choked and the shish kebab was disgusting. The sauce to the lamb madras was like water and the meat was tough. There customer service skills were also non existent.
