We were in the Wedding District as we planned to visit Hausbrauerei Eschenbrau and The Tipperary Pub and on our way there we dropped into Schade for a quick coffee and what a great find. The interior is awesome with great decor and furnishings including...a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around this place .We were here on a roasting hot Wednesday afternoon, as temperatures were hitting the degree mark we opted to sit outside were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of flat white coffees,these were served steaming hot and accompanied with an iced cold glass of soda water which my twin brother Stephen and I drank in one as it was such a hot day. The coffee was really good, you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in what they serve. We really enjoyed our coffees in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with this great cafe bar. Schade is really easy to locate, we jumped the Ubahn down to stop Leopoldplatz were we walked down Luxemburger Straße and cut onto Tegeler Straße were you will find this cafe bar. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, Midday till Saturday Sunday, till A great cafe bar and well worth checking out
Stopped in for late lunch. No other patrons but us! I thought...”what’s the deal with this place...” However, not too worry. My husband and yr old son ordered daily special, I got small house salad and mozzarella pizza. Salad was incredible. Very good greens...with homemade dressing delicious. We all “licked our plates”. You won’t be disappointed. Excellent service. Very clean. Clean water closets!
The restaurant itself has bags of character and a great smell of food fills the rooms just as you enter. The staff was very nice and helpful, the food itself delicious, also a good and quality selection of beer
