Scarpetta - Table reservation

We went on a Monday at 7pm. We didn't need a reservation, though we sat at the booths near the bar, which I didn't care for. They were kinda isolating. The food was amazing though. Their complimentary bread is so good, some of them are almost likeItalian meat sandwiches. The butter was good, and eggplant dip good too. We had two baskets of the bread. Calimari was good,according to my friends. I got a drink that sounded like a cranberry vodka with other stuff. It went down smoothly. My gnocchiwas delicious. My friends' risotto and... other item were reportedly good. And my bombolini was good. I didn't want overwhelmingchocolate, so I asked if I could have the amaretto gelato with it instead of the default. They obliged. I would totally go hereagain.

My meal at Scarpetta was, without exaggeration, the best tasting meal I’ve had in my lifetime. My wife also thought hers was top 3. The service was excellent. For the quality of food and service, and the view we got, it was well worth the prices. I hadthe gnocchi and my wife had the spaghetti with a chicken parmigiana. We had the antipasto to start.
