As being someone who was born and raised in NJ and got that authentic NY pizza experience Sam’s Pizza is as close as you’ll get that I’ve personally experienced. The restaurant has a family friendly vibe to it and the staff actually cares about their customers. From the short time I spent inside the restaurant I could see actual pride in their work and efforts towards customer service. It’s a nice change to see from all the NY style pizzerias, that are not NY at all.
