Salsa's Taco Bar has a dedicated vegan menu with items for about $10 each and comes with chips and salsa. I ordered the Vegan Burrito $8.95), filled with meerrot mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, zucchini, and mixed with the classics including rice, black beans, Guac and salsa. Wrapped in a large spinach tortilla, this burrito turned out to be massive for the price. I loved the fillings and the combination of aromas from all Veggies. Most vegetarian burritos elsewhere are simply lettuce, pico, rice and maybe beans, so that this was jump and borders above the competition. Absolutely loved it and was even full of half. They also offer a Vegan California Burrito for $15, which should be 5lbs of Burrito kindness. I'm curious to come next time. The chips here were okay. They were not my Fave, as they were so thin, but have a good side and go fantastic spicy salsa with my meal.
This place had a large separate vegan menu and staff shows that they care about vegans and what they order. I have the Mini Vegan Cali burrito and there was nothing Mini about this thing. It was so huge! It came with rice, beans, Guac, pico and deliciously seasoned frits. The Burrito was really delicious and it was so big that I saved the rest for dinner. The red salsa is AMAZING and a must. I also saw that they offer meat and have a vegan breakfast Burrito that only has egg in it. So many options for vegans!! The interior was not open and we ordered outside in the window. There were some outdoor tables to sit down. I strongly recommend stopping at this place! It's okay a very nice corner in a beautiful area.
BTW: I never give a place 5 stars unless they 're fully vegan. That being said, this place is awesome. The owner is so sweet and loves his vegan friends . They have awesome burritos with daiya, tofutti sour cream, French fries, etc. The staff are so nice and accommodating. Awesome Mexican food!
We just spotted their vegan option sign today and had to try them out. I had the simple vegan burrito and my wife had the vegan torta. We both loved the food , the people working were very nice and the place was clean. We'll be back for sure !
