Sagar Chinese - Table reservation

We ordered mixed fried rice, Thai soup, chili chicken and beef sizzling. And for spritzer we ordered chicken lollipop. The mixed fried rice was delicious and so was the chicken lollipop. The chili chicken and beef sizzling somehow didn't live up to my previous experience and seem to have declined in quality. The quantity and quality had more punch to it previously. After having enough of Sagar's declining food quality, I just had to write this review. Full disclaimer, as a person who has known the Sagar family and been there from the start of their food businesses, I believe I`m in a unique position to comment on their food. Also, we live near Sagar with a short delivery time and always consume the food when delivered, so our reviews are as when eating freshly prepared items. Overall terrible quality, especially the meat dishes. The color was so off-putting I did not try it. Glad I skipped as people in my party got food poisoning upset stomach for the rest of the day. On the positive end, the soup was good and so was the fried rice. But not worth risking getting ill. It was a GrubHub order so can't speak for service. I remember when this place opened up decades ago, we were all so excited to finally get Bangladeshi Chinese cuisine in NYC.

Excellent halal Chinese food here. The fried rice and General Tso?s chicken were great. I didn?t feel too well the next morning, so be prepared.

Thai soup was on point. Wonthon and fried rice were not like what we expect from a Bangladeshi Chinese.
