Royal - Table reservation

We found ourselves with nowhere to get an evening meal. There are very few places in Abbeville that are open in the evening that serve food that don’t get booked up really quickly. The Mecure hotel receptionist recommended this place. It is a pub basically that does snack food, but really good tasty snack food. It does things like omelette and frites, burgers, pizza and hotdogs. It’s very reasonably priced, we are a party of 2 adults and 2 teenagers we had 4 meals 2 beers and 2 cokes and it was 60 Euros and we the portions are not small we couldn’t eat it all. Service is great. Providing you are not expecting fine dining and silver service this place is great, and they allow small children in even at night.

Four of visited on a very quiet Sunday evening, before and after dining at a nearby restaurant. We had walked a fair way into town from out hotel and as it was raining, we stayed a little longer than we'd planned and enjoyed a few more drinks than we'd planned (including Leffe and a few excellent Irish Coffees). The owners were delightful and when we asked if they could order us a taxi back to our hotel, they offered to take us back themselves. Would highly recommend.

What makes this bar a place not to miss is the friendliness of the owners. We were on a business trip in Abbeville and found this bar not far from the Mercure hotel. Nothing exceptional about the place (a bit dated) but nothing bad either. The owners made us feel welcome, were chatty and friendly. Very nice few French and local beers too. We went back the day after and will go back if we have the chance to stay again in Abbeville.

The lady behind the bar was lovely, thank you. The drinks served were first class. It is very clean and welcoming.
