"The dinner for 2 allow choice of 5 dishes for Aus 65. It's in form of tapas. Lamb and Waygu are the two best dishes, though shrimp crackers with mushroom salad is a delight too. Overall fine dining in a casual setting; dishes with surprise and quite a lot of choice."

I organise our mid-year staff christmas function at Rice, Paper Scissors - Fitzroy. From the very first enquiry months in advance, to the last drink of the evening, we could not have asked for anything better. Ellie was incredible to deal with, answering all my questions promptly and positively to ensure everything ran perfectly on the evening. Absolutely nothing was too much to ask - Thank you Ellie! On the evening the food was unbelievable - like seriously delicious! The private upstairs dining room was the perfect space and ambiance for our group and the staff were fantastic. We had some pretty obsessive "foodies" in our group, and we couldn't have asked for more. Oh...and it was a good price! Highly recommended!

I had high hopes for Rice Paper Scissors given all of the excellent reviews but I was incredibly disappointed. Each dish is tiny in size, and incredibly overpriced. The dishes were way too spicy - in fact that's all you could taste. It probably didn't help that I'm not a fan of spicy of food, but the flavours were very unexciting. The only thing that I enjoyed on the menu were the cocktails.

We went for lunch and had the '5 courses for $59' special. Lots of food. Small plates but very generous servings. We had the ribs, pork belly, pork buns, duck salad and crispy barramundi. Our favourite was the ribs and pork buns. We had booked for 12pm but not necessary as there were plenty of seats. Fabulous friendly service. Delicious south Asian flavours. Highly recommended!

This is the only restaurant in Melbourne I have been to more than twice. It never disappoints. The 5 dish option and splitting between friends always leaves you completely satisfied and an amazing taste of a little bit of everything. Wait staff are always hilarious, timely and up for a good yarn. Must do in Melbourne!
