Restaurant Zur Waage Muttenz AG

I've eaten here a few times - mainly for lunch - and this place offers a good lunch menu, with a strong Italian influence (around the 18-21 CHF range for starter and main). Service is fine - when not too busy - and meals are solid and tasty. As the building itself is a nice converted farmhouse, the restaurant maintains this rustic flair. If you're looking for a reasonable choice and no-frills, this is a very nice option particularly if you can sit outside on a nice warm day.

I've eaten here twice. Once for lunch on a Sunday and once for dinner on a weeknight. Both times the service is efficient. There are English menus if you don't speak German. The waitress had limited English be there were no issues in getting my order. The food presentation and quality was very good. I walked away stuffed, as this is a 'hearty food' type of restaurant that offers 'typical' Swiss food, at least from this American's point of view!

Having eaten here several times, this is a great mid-scale restaurant if you're looking for a mid-range alternative to the other more expensive options in area. Mainly an Italian menu, it's reliable and service competent. Outdoor seating is wonderful on a warm day as its on the more picturesque part of town. Lunch menus are around c. CHF20 with usually a starter and main - and taste-wise I have never been disappointed.

Situated in the hart of Muttenz zur Waage has a good outside space to relax with a beer or a wine. Friendly waiter!
