I got aware of this small and more or less hided restaurant somewhere in Elsass of a friend few years ago. And I have to tell you I, it is the restaurant I choose when I want to have a perfect evening. Gille is the most perfect restaurant proprietor I've ever met.The used ingredients are super fresh, dishes are excellent and always with a little surprise in the way it is prepared. Last but not least, the dining area is quiet small very nice made room where modern meets old therefore a perfect mix which give a feeling of being "home" - I like it very much.All in all I would like to sum it up with the the statement - passion to serve and satisfy its guests is all over! - Thank you for all the nice hours in your restaurant, Gille!
We were stopping overnight in the area on the way to Austria. We were tired & hungry. This place came out very well in Tripadvisor. It was gone 8:30 PM when we telephoned for a booking. The owner/manager was very helpful and booked us in (he speaks great English!). We arrived to find our table for 3 prepared. The place was packed with what looked like Christmas parties & business people but we were made very welcome. The food was excellent. We had only main course (we were tired & hungry!) We had Lamb Shank, Duck Hamburger & Chicken Cordon Bleu. All was well cooked, well flavoured & tasted very very good. Situated in a very interesting little town (almost Elizabethan houses) it is well worth a visit.
We dined here twice this weekend - two friends were celebrating their wedding here, so we had supper and brunch - and found the food and convivial atmosphere wonderful. My partner is from Alsace, and having dined in the region for almost twenty years, I found this restaurant to be one of the best.I can't wait to return to sample more of the menu
We were here visiting the Elsass region and found this little gem. Beautiful village. Delicious food. Great service. Home feeling! Hope to visit again!
