when we booked for our trip to nürnberg with friends the hotel house, a nürnberger gourment told us: ohhh, there you must go to the restaurant opatija eating! Initial skepsis was quickly overcome - I had expected more a balkangrill. the food offer is very diverse, in which there are also specificities from the Balkans! You could now call the extensive map as something arbitrary or non-specific. in the fact you can find home cooking next to ambitious dresses and grill specialties from the balkan. but all so tasty that a decision is difficult. the recommended fish has proven to be very good. the stone-butt was a beautiful tranche at a very good matching sauce with band noodles. no culinary performance but very solid made with good ingredients. a red thread that goes through all the dishes. also the portions are so that you can also eat 3 passages well, but also sometimes with one passage alone well.I would like to highlight the cream suzette: where you get them still original in the table prepared and flambit. only these are worth a visit! We were very friendly, flotted and courteously served without it being intrusive.

Restaurant Opatija was absolutely one of the best finds in Nuremburg. It's not on the main street and seems to draw more of a local crowd rather than tourists. Helps to dress nice--meaning no ragged jeans, hauling backpacks, and looking grubby and tired from a long day touring. Of course they probably wouldn't turn anyone away based on appearance, but we did notice that folks who fit that description and were without reservations were politely told that all tables were taken. Helps tremendously to reserve to guarantee a table. Menu is in both German and English. Service is impeccable, quick, and very, very helpful. In good weather, dining is both inside and outside. Well worth going to and will be a memorable experience. Absolutely we are going there again!

I stayed at the hotel and due to my flight I arrived 5 hrs before check in!. The staff were superb allowing me to work in the restaurant as they set up for lunch. I then ate lunch which was superb quality and presented brilliantly. Then they prepared my room 2 hrs early and that allowed me to work in peace. I had a client meeting at 4pm and afterwards we all ate in the restaurant which was again superb. The food was lovely. Above all the staff are what sets this hotel/reataurant apart. Everyone I encountered made my day easier. Nothing was a problem just an opportunity to shine. Well done to you all. The culture of the business is evendent in all staff.

Sophisticated, quality food outstanding, had the opportunity to sit outside which is perfect and relaxed. Full terrace, nice atmosphere, excellent informal service, goos background music, nicest view on old town Neurenberg.Nice menu card but Kurt recommended the tuna carpaccio and coteletto from grill - oversucceeded expectations.Really worthwhile to visit! Next time with my wife!
