4 of us went for Sunday lunch and we did not have a reservation. The restaurant was fully booked but the the waitress was happy to accomodate us in the conservatory usually used only in the summer. So book if you intend to come here for a spot of Sunday lunch. The menu offers traditional dishes such as garbure, poule au pot and trout. Beware of the assiette de charcuterie, my partner thought it would consist of ham and pate etc... but instead was cold boudin, andouille, very rough terrine etc so not to everyone's taste. My mother and sister had the garbure (plenty of it) which of course was a meal in itself for 14 euros (a la carte). I opted for the 12.99 Euros menu with some garbure as a starter (plenty of it but no pieces of meat in it), trout in a kind of forrestiere sauce ( delicious but not very light) and an apple tart for desert which was adequate. Because of a lack of staff the service was slow but we did not mind waiting between courses as it gave us a chance to disgest a bit between dishes. The waitress was rushed of her feet but remained friendly throughout. In conclusion do not expect refine food and service but Larregalet is a good value, friendly, no fuss restaurant.

I can understand why this restaurant gets mixed reviews. Service on a rather quiet mid-week evening was a bit slow, although once our order was taken, the food arrived in reasonable time. We both had fish. The merlu was dry and would have bounced if it had been dropped. It came with salad and a tasty white bean dish. The whole daurade was cooked perfectly and came with a roasted garlic and lemon sauce, a whole baked potato and salad. A dessert of creme brulee was luscious. A mixed performance.

The reestaurant doesn't have fancy décoration but people there are very welcoming and smiling. The traditional dishes such as Garbure and Poule au Pot , on Sundays as the king Henry IV wished for. The cheese is as expected and the deserts , so tasty.Un délice!Worth a détour and after a long walk to enjoy the view.French traditional cuisine still exists.
