Great service, good quality German fair, I had a Schnitzel and my Daughter had Veal (I think), both dishes were served with a nice salad and a big bowl of chips to share.They sell a good selection of beers; I had a Kolsch. Payment was difficult, though they took cards they could not take my UK Visa Debit or Visa Credit cards. Had to drive to ATM 5 clicks away to get cash. So best checking first or take cash.
Just asked for some tap water to fill my bottles after 80 km of cycling on a hot day. I had to order a drink, take off my cycling shoes to get any water. Not having any spare money on hand I asked to use my bank card and all of a sudden the owner expected me to spent at least 15 euros. Glad I found out that this joint is certainly not the place to go for diner with my family later that evening!
you will feel welcome here after a warm welcome by the chef. eating is excellent with pleasantly large portions. in the back area you sit in a winter garden-like structure with beautiful view over the natural rurtal. we have been here several times and are happy to come at any time.
