Very decent meal here in pleasant surroundings. The main thing we first noticed was that the table we were offered was under a fixed canopy. The temperature was 35C and we wanted to sit out of the canopy and under a large umbrella. The proprietor seemed to resist our desire to change tables. I have noticed this in France several times. They definitely do not like any customer to express a preference for where the customer sits! We had to walk out of another restaurant in the Tarn Gorge as we were shoved into a corner and were not allowed to change to a table that we preferred. This guy was the same, made it clear that he couldn't understand why we preferred under an umbrella rather than the fixed canopy. He made a few comments to other French guests that caused a ripple of laughter. But the fact was that it was cooler the umbrella, there was a breeze.Once the food started arriving though things got better and the guy relaxed a bit. Even made a few jokes with us - rather than other guests. He was reasonably attentive and service was quick enough and not rushed. The fixed menu - Menu du jour - was very reasonably priced and the quality very good. You can sit inside if the weather isn't so good, and it is a typical French restaurant as far as atmosphere goes.Altogether not too bad an experience.
