Right, Firstly time for a bit of myth dispelling. German service is not, and has never been, as efficient as people would have you believe (especially the Germans). I have been visiting Germany for over 25 years and I am afraid this is true. No better example given than here. Our order was simply forgotten. BUT I really did not care - it was a beautiful day to sit by the Rhine and drink beer. When the food did turn up (with a half mumbled apology) it was typical German cafe fare. A huge bockwurst and a mountain of splendid home made potato salad (if my translation of the menu is correct) came with a small amount of undressed salad. I did not try any further offerings as quite simply the combination of the EU carb mountain of potato salad and the one or two beers did not lend themselves to pudding. Value wise the main course were i think 7.50 and the beer about 3.50 for paulaner weissbier(one of my personal favourites - try the dunkel version if you get the chance). All in all not a bad place if only for the view.

right, first of all, for a little myth that's rubbing off. the German service is not as efficient as people would believe (especially Germans). I've been in Germany for years and fear that this is true. our order was simply forgotten. But I really didn't care that it was a nice day to sit on the Rhine and drink beer. when eating (with half a schleimapology), it was typical German café tea. a huge bockwurst and a mountain of magnificent house made kartoffelsalat (if my translation of the menu is correct) came with a small amount of untreated salat. I have not tried any more offers, because simply the combination of the EU carb crab from kartoffel salad and the one or two animals have not borrowed to pudding. worth the main course I was thinking and the beer about paulan white beer (one of my personal favorites try the dark version when they get the chance). all in all no bad place, if only for the sake.

it was the season for chanterelle mushrooms, so we decided to share a pfifferling salat, along with (oddly) a goulash suppe. both were excellent and very favorable. service was prompt, the view of the Rhine was great and all-in-all we had a very satisfying. I would not come here to dinner because there is more of a caffe then restaurant feel to him, but it was perfect for lunch.

This is a bar-restaurant on the river Rhine, they serve pizza, pasta and some local favourites like Sauerbraten, as well as icecream. Beer glass was half-full, wine glass was dirty, but service was attentive and food was decent.
