we stayed one night at this hotel. the room is overpriced. the area is quiet but only till 9AM when the housekeeper starts cleaning the rooms. She slams the doors and walks so heavily we could not enjoy our time in bed.we decided to have early lunch at this place.by 11:30 we sit at a table in the dining room.the staff explained to us that the service starts at 12AM and that the order would be taken by then.12AM a big group entered the restaurant and filled the major room.after a while I understand we were already forgotten. I stood up and went up stream to the cashier to ensure we got our order taken.the waiter came immediately but our order landed on the table 45 minutes later.no word, no excuse. the table next to us was taken care worse than us.the food was ok and prices are reasonable but no creativity. the bad services spoils the mood to enjoy the food.one positive point about the spoon in chocolate that comes along the creme brulee.

on June 4th at about 8pm, after a short visit in 'le crotoy', we called this restaurant which was on our way back to Fort Mahon. The man on the phone was very polite and helpul (he explained how to get to the auberge. We chose 'à la carte': magret de canard and tarte fine aux pommes accompanied with a half medoc 'grand cru'.The service was very quick and we really enjoyed the food. Beautiful presentation, fresh vegetable and good cooking for the meat. All the people around us appreciated their meal and congratulated the chef. So did we and talked to the team before leaving.I could say they really took care of their customers and did their best to satisfy them .We'd like to go back and taste the local salt marsh lamb.

We went on Sunday lunch, and they were very busy, so was a bit slow. But our list of complaints:Wrong sauce served with steaks. Waiter advised that this is the sauce today, but the menu states different, and not advised at ordering.Over cooked steak. (Very reluctantly they recooked another)Tough steakCould not wait any longer, we'd been in restaurant 3 hours, so paid & left before deserts. But biggest complaint is no-one of any authority seem to care that we were upset, and wanted to walk out. Will never return.

We had a meal in this restaurant recently, we were a party of seven and didn't have a reservation. Staff were very friendly and patient with our poor french. The food was fine for the price and the desert buffet was a bonus for the children. I would recommend this restaurant for a reasonably priced meal.
