We enjoyed good food here. They do great steaks served on hot stones, and there is a good offering of other dishes on the menu, including excellent pizza. The ambience of the restaurant is a little odd it has to be said. A strange mix of the Alps and a fishing village, all set off with really bright lights. The waiter spoke good English and was very attentive. The one thing that spoiled our evening was the waitress. I am not sure what she was doing, as the waiter seemed to have everything under control, but she spoiled the evening for us. Leaning over us to clear plates as if we weren't there, pushing between our chairs making us feel as though we were a nuisance to her. Never a word, never a smile. Such a shame as this place could be good with a few adjustments. On our next visit to Kandersteg we will have a look through the window and see if she is working, if she is we will go elsewhere. It doesn't matter how good the food is, good service is paramount.
On s'est arrêté là par hasard pour le souper. C'est un chouette endroit décoré de manière originale avec plein de vieux trucs des montagnes. Le service est assez rude comme on peut le lire, mais correct et poli, c'est nature je dirai. Pour les pizzas, le concept de pas de pizzas à choix mais on crée notre propre pizza. Les salades étaient bonnes et la sauce aussi. On a pris du pain à l'ail bon aussi et pas sec. J'ai pris les spaghettis aglio et oglio. C'était excellent mais c'est piquant pour information. Le point le plus embêtant dans les pizzerias c'est toujours l'odeur qu'on ramène, mais une nuit dehors et c'est bon.
We stop just for a tea... and were the only one in there! Even that way, the service was rude, specialy after we ask for the wifi pass... for me a client its always a client and really didnt like the service! About the rest? It really doesnt matter when the people didn t care...
In einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre kannst du deine Pizza selber zusammenstellen, für den grossen oder den kleinen Hunger! Der Hauspatron ist immer gleich selber an der Areit und hat auch beste Empfehlungen. Einige Zimmer, einige Restaurantplätze im Garten.
