"We had dinner here as we passed through Colombres. Their menu del dia was very good. My wife had salad to die for. It comprised a nice variety of vegetables and a local cured meat that complimented the vegetables. Moreover it was elegantly presented. My pasta starter was also very good as it had lots of mushrooms in a good cream sauce. Wine, bread and dessert completed the meal. The icing on cake was the discount they gave Peregrinos. Eat here if you can."

On our first day in this area after spending 11 weeks in France we were looking forward to some home cooked Spanish food,we were not disappointed. We had stopped twice to look at different restaurants menus, neither fit the bill,to run of the mill and cafe like.As we drove up to Casa Junco we noted dozens of cars parked in front,(it was a Monday not a Sunday so a good sign .Checked the menu, everything very Spanish and of the cooking style of the area.It was 2.40pm but had check in with the Maitre D with our name to await a table,(there were 8 people ahead of us and many more came after! .When we were seated we noted the quality of the linen and table wear along with the very well decorated LARGE dinning room. The staff had been trained to a high standard as their service was exceptional. The food was out standing and very typical of the area. The fish soup, beef, paella and fish which we enjoyed today makes this restaurant a must for a return visit on our 10 day stay in the area.
