The ice cream which is what matters most was good. Cold, creamy and flavoursome, if not up to the standard of the best Italian gelati. But then it was combined with fresh fruit into fine concoctions piled into properr sundae glasses; and served at tables that managed to have an elegant air even on the street pavement. Service was cool and svelte to match the food; so that the whole visit became an enjoyable experience.
When we have ice cream we like to focus on the ice cream and not mess around with the fruit and cream and other bits that, to our mind, dilute the experience (and, here, massively increase the price). And that's what we did but, unlike some other reviewers here, we were treated like normal customers by efficient staff and we enjoyed some great flavours. It was all perfectly good.
We stopped here for a light lunch while visiting Bastia. My wife had the Lasagne and I chose the Ravioli forrestiare. Both pastas were OK if you like your pasta 'al dente ' (Tough). We have had better versions of both dishes.
Awesome! Delicious pizzas of above-average quality and original combinations (truffle/burata for example! Friendly service and delicious ice cream dishes! Highly recommended if you have to wait for the ferry.
