The Rainbow has been a very popular spot in Oshawa Ontario since the 1950's, and while it does not qualify as "fine dining", it qualifies as a fine restaurant. Generations of families have been frequenting this location for 7 decades, and one of the original owners still shows up from time to time to chat with the faithful patrons who keep going back time and time again. The Rainbow is most known for its breakfasts, and while it does do lunch, it is closed in the evening. The place is fairly small, some would say cramped, but in this case, size does not matter. Some mornings there is a long line up of people waiting to get in ( they also offer take out for those who don't want to wait) and most patrons wait patiently for their turn to eat one of their huge , delicious, mouth watering, diet busting meals.Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes offered. The décor is taken straight from the 1950's & 60's and suits the place and the history that goes along with it. It is worth dropping by this place if you are ever in the Oshawa area.Note: There is no on-site parking, so you can park on the street (metered) or at a nearby lot .
