"We found a table outside on a hot sunny day in early July. It was busy there but service was nonetheless quick and efficient. The choice of cakes was very good. I went into the establishment and picked out a slice of a delicious raspberry cake to go with my coffee. There was added entertainment value as some workmen were installing some brackets to hold more parasols. They were being guided by an older gentleman who we assumed to be the owner. He seemed to be quite frustrated as he argued with the senior of the two workmen on how and where to install the metal brackets. Oh, and the restrooms are good. There aren 't so many in this little town."

We needed a respite from an arduous Saturday afternoon of shopping recently and thought that this place looked nice. We had to wait a while to get a table outside but when we did we had a pleasant view of the little river on one side and the pedestrians making it ideal for essential people watching. You have to order your cakes and snacks inside but our drinks order was taken by a rather harassed gentleman who seemed to be rushed off his feet. I had a large iced chocolate and a piece of strawberry gateau both of which were delicious. I personally would have stayed there all afternoon but with some eager ladies in our party who needed someone to carry all the bags, the inevitable continuation of the shopping tour was on the cards.
