Philippe Bamas - Restaurant Sonne

Situated near the Schloss Bottmingen, this little Italian restaurant offers a very wide selection of Italian dishes from antipasti to primi dishes (mainly pasta or risotto) and secondi dishes (meat or fish), as well as delicious pizzas. We chose to share a pizza as an...appetiser and then all enjoyed one dish whether it was the spinach gnocchi, the pesto risotto or octopus salad, everything was really nice! Service was good and pretty quick. Nothing bad to say apart from the prices..but it’s Switzerland, so not surprising. We’ll have to come back to try some other dishes!

We have been there a number of times and every time have been pleasantly surprised. Really good food, good service, hospitable staff in a refurbished old village house. The menu is reach and we have yet to find something which we do not like. Definitely...a place which we would recommend.

We had a wonderful evening that surpassed our expectations. Don’t be fooled by the name of the restaurant as the menu is extensive and goes way beyond pizzas and pasta. The service was excellent and the food exceptional. Will definitely be back.

We had pizza diner at Sonne after a previous visit when we had good pasta diner. However pizza diner was disappointing. Pizza was dry, very few tomato sauce and nearly no toping. First and last pizza diner experience for us in the restaurant.

The Sonne restaurant is definitely one of the best restaurants in our neighborhood. The food is very delicious and served very creatively. It should be awarded a Michelin Star or two !
