our host in the guesthouse wahnenmuehle suggested this restaurant for our first dinner at the arrival in erkrath. When you drive to the door, you will be taken back from the appearance, not really understand what you take yourself. when you enter the door and try to communicate with the piano player just to find out that he is a stupid, you start to get a little about what you have in the load! less I ruin some of the surprises, let me just say that we enjoyed our time so much that we have made plans to celebrate some nights later my sweet birthday. Chef cook ralf is a very nice and entertaining owner and made us very welcome. we have eaten, the atmosphere and above all the interaction with chef cook ralf and the rest of the staff very enjoyed. if you are in the area of erkrath, we recommend you to enjoy an evening in the pancake room. many thanks to again cook ralf, that they make my favorite birthday party so special in Germany!
This family owned business is one of the most beautiful spots we found in NRW. The restaurant inside and outside is like a little museum. Probably an afternoon wouldn’t be enough to see all the decoration details. The food is so tasty that we will...for sure come back. The meat tender and juicy, the pancakes soft and delicious. The sangria is a must to try! The two owners are both so nice and make you feel welcome. Big recommendation
