We went to POB for a birthday celebration for my mother in law. She wanted king crab legs for dinner. The only reason this wasn't a five star review was the king crab legs arrived with only 2 legs and all the others we saw delivered has 3. Our waitress said it was due to weight. I'm not so sure about that and for $83, I would have liked to see a standard portion from a visual standpoint as well. The question about the portion hung over the birthday dinner. The food was delicious especially the scallops and my wife's red beans and rice. Both had nice complex flavors that were spot on for southern seafood cooking. Nice wine and beer selection. Overall I would recommend and go back again. They take reservations.
I feel like I'm sort of a Creole Cajun snob after living in New Orleans. So I feel like my review will probably be considered bias. However, if you're staying at the casino and would like some Cajun food, this place does the trick while you're there. Our group had the crab and shrimp dip, chargrilled oysters, lobster Mac and cheese, fried fish sandwich and scallop jambalaya. Overall it was decent and we left full.
We came here after a day at the casino and wanted to get an appetizer and our food to go. I normally don't like to order seafood to go, but I've heard great things about this place. We ordered the crab and shrimp dip as our appetizer and was very pleased with it. I ordered the seafood boil to go and was really wowed by the flavor in the food. I can't wait to come back!
Loved! Fried oysters and cocktail sauce were excellent. Lobster Mac and cheese was even better than it sounds, huge chunks of lobster, cheese sauce and pasta was perfect. Crispy fish tacos were delish. Red hot riplet fries sooo good.
