This place is a local treasure and worth the visit for every aspect of its charm. The building boasts a lovely classic Burgundy style with a charming outdoor garden, well maintained and groomed and fully blooming with exquisite wisteria cocooning you from the exterior road. The interior is equally charming, well decorated with a classic and modern French touch, giving off a lovely romantic mood and warm overall ambiance. The chef, David Le Corre, impassioned by food, who participates in many local events and enthusiastically accepts interns, often organizing fun food competitions, whose personality is as warm and charming as the restaurant's decor. The food is classic, home-style French, generous portions, beautifully presented and flavorful. Everything is delicious down to the dessert. It often baffles me why this restaurant hasn't yet received a Michelin star. The wine list boasts local Burgundy wines as well as others, leaving a good, wide variety of choices. The restaurant is VERY reasonably priced for the quality of food your receive. I have been coming to this restaurant for 8 years and it is by far my favorite in Joigny in terms of food quality/ambiance and price ratio. Fully recommended for ROMANTIC dining.

We got a recommendation from someone on the street for Paris-Nice (I thought he said Parinisse or something like that). Good choice for a 3-generation group of 6. The restaurant has a quiet, shady garden, very pleasant place for a summer 's evening meal. The only really odd thing is the most confusing menu I have ever seen. It is in about 6 parts, and we got only 1 copy of each part, so there was a lot of passing of pages back and forth before we were finally able to order. The food turned out to be excellent. The star of the show was salmon in a pastry crust, which three of our party ordered, including the kids (but they do have a kid 's menu, too). I liked my choice very much, too--an Assiette de Terroir with snails, pate, foie gras, salted salmon, and a bit of salad. Good wine list and excellent deserts. Service was friendly but also a bit confused, since at least 5 waiters helped us, several of them evidently new summer hires, but everything worked out for the best. If you come by boat as we did, go across the bridge to the left bank and straight down the street to the traffic circle, restaurant is on the left.

Arriving in Joigny after an overnight flight and a long drive from Paris, including a couple hours lost in rural Burgundy, we were debating whether to honor our reservation for dinner at Restaurant Paris Nice, in the hotel in which we were staying. We were so pleased to have decided to go ahead with dinner. Obviously a popular place with the local crowd, Paris Nice has a range of Menus, from 19 E to appx 50E. We chose a moderate menu and enjoyed a superb meal. Sorry, but too much time has passed to recount the meal and it is not our practice to keep detailed notes. At this stage, I simply have very warm and pleasant memories of the meal, and the superb local wine offered by the carafe to accompany it.

We had an excellent diner at Paris Nice. I strongly recommend the foie gras and the dishes with Chaource . Service was also really friendly
