"Really good quality ice cream. A repeat for sure. I had the cinnamon bun and passion fruit and my wife had oatmeal cookie. Local business that deserves local and visitor support."

For ice cream! And Victoria has its share of great local little ice cream shops. Today we stopped in at Parachute Ice Cream. Tucked away just before the Bay Street Bridge, this little gem has some incredibly delicious flavours to offer anyone exploring this area. Choose from cups, crispy waffle cones - or go big and buy a pint! You will not be disappointed! Made fresh but disappearing quickly are the blueberry and the chocolate brownie.... just two of a superb selection of interesting and delicious flavours. Suggestion.....from downtown most scenic walk is over the Johnston Street bridge, along Harbour and back over the Bay Street bridge to Bridge Street...turn left and you will see their baby blue sign on the left side of the street about a block from the corner. Open until 7pm....great prices, too!

I can't quantify how many times I have visited Parachute Ice Cream since my first visit about a month and half ago. Every flavour I have tasted is creamy and delicious but my favourites are Lemon Cream, Black Bear Espresso and Vegan Coconut Lime. Other great options are London Fog, Brown Sugar Vanilla and Passionfruit. This visit was for my birthday; I invited a handful of friends to join me to celebrate with my love of ice cream. I have tasted ice cream while traveling around the world and this is at top of the list.

This small ice cream products manufacturer and store may no be very fancy and kind of industrial simple in appearance. The industrial look does have some appeal away from the flashy, corporate, plastic feel. The raw, workplace, creating look give a sense of honest modesty. The ice cream flavour selections is quite good, not just 3 limited colours to choose from. I enjoyed this place when I was sent by my work supervisor to buy ice cream cones for the entire warehouse and office.

Always something new at ParachuteThe nicest deal is the 2 flavours in a single scoop. And the highlight is fine icecream. seating is NOT fancy so don't dress for the occasion---you may sit on the sidewalk to eat your cone and to enjoy the parade of folks on Bridge Street on a quiet Saturday. Open until 7:00 some nights.
