Papagei - Table reservation

I am often over the midday in papagei, but if not reserved, must be there before twelve, otherwise you have no more space. a beautiful, rustic old town and student accommodation. the lunch menus are excellent and inexpensive and what I especially appreciate that there is not always the zero-eight-fiveteen menus, as in all other restaurants. and in addition to the 2 day menus there are still the parrot classics, like the fine chop roasts as at great nut times. and the service is top and very speditiw. a beautiful local with varied and very good kitchen at a reasonable price, optimal for a fast lunch, but also nice to stay.

I was here with my colleague for lunch. I was surprised by the atmosphere. the service very friendly and speditiw and the lunch menu was very good. homemade, the salat pleasantly cut small so that you can eat it well only with a fork (without clecking). salatsauce italian and very balanced; housemade.Although we live here in st. gallen we were the first time in papagei. but certainly not for the last time. price: very reasonable 21,50 which is already cheap in the St. Galler city.

The restaurant looks like a traditional swiss pub style place, but the food is anything but that. My starter of 3 different styles of salmon was perfect, just as the carrot-ginger soup my friend had. Main courses were a sirloin steak with spring vegetables, the steak being served as ordered (both medium and medium rare were perfectly cooked.) For deserts I'd recommend the Sabayon!

the old town-facing beiz has a lot of charm and style. a perfect blend of wood and white linen serviette. it's more beautiful, you can't decide anything that desires the heart. service excluded friendly and super fast.
