Low score for mandatory tipping (which to me was a fee disguised as a tip). Our service wasn't good enough to warrant a $12 mandatory tip in our bill. It wasn't even busy, we didn't have much food, and heck the server didn't even give us utensils/plates (there was 2 on the table and I had to grab one from a nearby table myself because we were a party of 3). I've personally done more work at my job with no tips yet I have to pay this person more for less work? Ridiculous.I was going to tip anyway but 18% is ridiculous for a small party of 3. We asked the waitress about the 18% tip and she said it was because of management (bet we're covering the employee wages or again, they're skimming off the top disguised as tips).Honestly can't recommend this place because of forced overpriced fees and it soured my experience and thoughts about coming back here. Thought I found a great cheap place but they don't tell you about forced 18% dining-in tipping until you get the check. As for the food, the karaage chicken and the gyoza were mid. Small portions of karaage and the gyoza tasted like generic ones you get from the store. I've had better. The ohja ramen was filling and the broth was alright but honestly I don't think it's worth it after it totalling to $19 for a bowl of ohja ramen per person.

This is the worst ramen I have ever eaten. I hadn 't eaten all day long and was so hungry. My bowl arrived about 90 seconds after ordering. The chef had put raw vegetables and store bought noodles in a bowl with hot water and soy sauce and nothing else. It was so bad that it ruined my appetite. The waitress seemed pretty unhappy, she rushed us in and out as quickly as possible. She dropped the check on the table while I was still trying to choke my meal down. At that point I gave up eating in disgust, and left while my partner paid the bill. Also the restaurant was eerily quiet, and the other two people eating there seemed uncomfortable. The entrance way smells like sewage. Just avoid this place altogether.

The place was clean, promt servers and service. The Takoyaki was really really good. The ratio of the octopus was perfect! Katsu and the sauce was just ok. Shrimp tempura was flavorful, no need for dipping sauce. The Katsu ramen was great, the noodles were cooked perfectly. We had asked if we can have it spicy which they did accommodate our request. With everything in the picture, we probably spent more or less $40 including tip. Overall, I recommend this place.

I loved the noodle and side dish we ordered here.Me and my husband randomly found this place while trying to get my dog's treats. Pleasant atmosphere and love that tables are not so close to each other. This restaurant is close to my place and I'm looking forward to coming back on windy day.Keep up the good work Ohjah Noodle House! :
