Zum Ochsen - Table reservation

I was on business in the area. We had visited many restaurants in the surrounding area and were looking for something close. We were warmly greeted and given excellent service. As an outsider, it looked to me to be a local's (if not family) hangout....The food was good, although I will agree with another reviewer who said the sirloin was more like pork.. It is probably a language translation thing. If you're in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to go here. Good spot, good people. FYI, many places do not accept credit cards. This place did

Went for dinner, was already disappointed because I went to another restaurant nearby and they didn’t accept credit cards without surcharge. Luckily in Ochsen they accept credit card. Was greeted very friendly and I ordered based on discussion with waitress “geschmorte Ochsenwade” . The meal...was delicious but you need to be aware that it was very lean broiled beef. I expected based on description more juicy meat. However it was good and they serve nice beer. So clear recommendation

Restaurant de village sans grande prétention... Salle à manger boisée bien typique. Nous avons manger un samedi soir sans réservation. Les portions sont bien conséquentes et le service était agréable. Pas de grande gastronomie mais c'était bon et pour un tarif correct...

Quite a few pizza places in town, but this little restaurant serves locally sourced food and wines. Dishes are traditional, but with options for vegetarians. Tasty cakes. Friendly staff. Worth a visit

the food was really excellent, high quality meat and well cooked. I recommend this place. service could be improved a bit, but this is reasonable as a family driven business
