My wife and I popped over to Boulogne for a spot of lunch on Friday. The main square has a lot of tourist type restaurants which we try to avoid like the plague! :) This little restaurant is in the south east corner of the square. The food was sublime and the service was great, we got there a bit late for lunch but despite the fact that the staff were about to eat they welcomed us in and were very receptive. We had 2 different set menus which were fantastic I had the Soup de Poisson to start which was very good although not freshly made on site followed by the duo of fish with pasta. My wife had Garlic King Prawns to start followed by a Vegetarian Tajeen . we both had Fruit Tarte for afters and all was washed down with several bottles of French cider. Great value too, all of the above for less than £50. Would Highly recommend

For a change, instead of the Gambas in garlic followed by tagine lamb, I went for the seafood Menu d'Opal. A starter of moules a la creme (delicious but on the small side) followed by cod with chips and salad, then the cafe gourmand. The fish was good, and the cafe gourmand was excellent. A very nice range of small desserts all well prepared, including my favourite ice cream flavour of the south of France -- glace violette. Yes, ice cream flavoured with violet flowers.Service was good. All for 18 euros.

Just back from the O Sud, nice place well kept, fish soup was fantastic, mussels Provençal ware good, my wife's chicken good too, but sauce very salty. Overall good experience the only thing that we ware disappointed was no menu available other than French, and the lady that served us didn't have a word of English

Last night of 3 week holiday, chose restaurant on menu over nearby previously disappointing tourist spots. We both had prawn croquettes which were excellent ,two moule dishes Nord very good marinere only OK Left with good memories of meals in France will return next year.
