I cannot even believe I'm writing a Yelp review right now. This is a first for me. When this Nick the Greek location first opened up, it was bright with colors and so much good energy in one establishment. I believe the owner was Jack and his nephew. They were always there and always seemed busy (in a good way). After some time of being away, I moved back to San Carlos to be unpleasantly surprised what this Nick the Greek location has turned into. Every single person who works there looks utterly miserable, No one greets you with any type of smile, and they mumble when they talk. I feel the lack of love for the place and everything about it just sucks. The portions aren't consistent, sometimes there are only about 3 4 pieces of chicken in my bowl. I don't know what happened to this place but it's not good. I can't see it lasting any longer like this and In all honesty, it sucks because I used to really enjoy the food and service. I've never in my life written a Yelp review about a place but I hope the owners of this establishment can see this and start showing some love to their business and making some drastic changes. The Employees need to go or change their attitude because it's simply unpleasant and sadly has ruined this whole place for me.

As a Gyro connoisseur, I'll give this pork belly gyro a 7 out of 10. Tsatsiki was great, also pita, missing some flavor, spice and crispiness to the meat and more raw onion. Enjoyable though and I will come back. Gyro with pork is not so common here in the bay area, but pork is required for real Greek Gyros in my opinion.

Small restaurant but clean and fun decor. The server was friendly and charming. The food was delicious and delivered fast. Great first restaurant visit after a long drive.

I chose to try the bowl with lamb and beef. Wow, what a disappointment! The portion if meat was so small. Definitely not worth the price!
