We were introduced to this tiny spot by a friend who works close by and highly recommended it . I was hesitant because it doesn't look very interesting from the outside , but don't judge a book by it's cover . Actually inside is very small and basic too. On one wall there are 3 cool Egyptian pieces of art and on the opposite end there is the menu on a chalkboard . You will be greeted by a very outgoing , amazing man as you enter and part of the fun of being here is just talking to him and absorbing the energy he brings to his place . To say the food is cheap conjures up images of low quality slop . Nothing can be further from the truth here . It is extremely inexpensive . The taste and quality were ideal . I've never had a better shrimp sandwich in my life . I still can't believe it was only $4.50 . Most places would charge twice as much and only have a few skimpy little pieces of shrimp . These sandwiches are overflowing with big chunks of fresh shrimp that actually have that great crunch when you bite into them . Our first visit was two days ago and I have been craving another sandwich ever since that afternoon . I couldn't control myself and had to have another fix today . I don't know where the owner gets his supplies ,but he has found the magical source . My partner had the special of the day , which was butter chicken . The portion was huge and served on rice . Again for a fraction of what it would cost elsewhere $(5) . She loved it and couldn't finish the meal . I will definitely be a regular from now on . I would like to try some of the other options available but I seem to be addicted to the shrimp sandwich . I noticed someone at the next table had a large shrimp salad $(6) , it also had generous portions of chunks of shrimp . This little cafe is less than a five minute walk from the hospital and serves much better food than the stuff offered at their cafeteria . Being that it wasn't a very happy time for us with a loved one in the hospital , the terrific food and charismatic owner added some brightness to a difficult day . ps , don't look for the name on the sign outside . It must be the old name . Check the address .

It was my first time there and boy do I feel ever welcome and the take away feeling from that place is is - definitely have to go back again! The guy who runs the place Yasser is such a WONDERFUL BEING. Very down to earth, sincerely nice and warm. Treats you like a long lost friend even though this is the first I met him. I definitely have a good impression of Eygptians now :)Tried the soup : seafood chowder. It came in quite a big portion and was yummy too :) I was prepared to pay close to 10 bucks for that but what a pleasant shock when he told me it was only 2 bucks! I was like HUH? I can't believe it. He told me he likes people to enjoy the soup. I was so touched that I gave him more than that! Please go try if you haven't. I surely will again. Keep up the good spirit Yasser. The world needs more people like you for sure :)

This place is a local gem. This little café has been here for ages and I have never been in until a friend took me recently. Food is fresh, healthy and all made from a guy that can crack a joke or two. He really does make you feel like family when you come in. If you are on the fence to stop by this little hole in the wall, jump over faster and I promise you won't be disappointed. Will be heading back next week to try another one of Yasser's specials! All his soups are fantastic and his sandwiches are made fresh with piles of meat. Prices range from $2.50 for a large bowl of home made soup to $5.00 for his daily special. This place won't break the bank, but bare in mind this place is cash only, but if all you have is a $10 bill, this is plenty.

Nice home made food with great prices. Owner takes pride in his cooking and its obvious. Good portions and flavours, great coffee and I really liked the small but warm feeling you get when you walk into this little place. Keep it up :)
