My husband and I expected great things from this restaurant, however, we were very surprised at how mediocre the food turned out to be here. We began with a couple of rolls and the pork belly bao all of which were mediocre at best intending to order the entree later. With this introduction we decided to forgo the entree. Considering the well known chef and the prices on the menu, it was such a disappointment. The staff was terrific particularly the hostess that evening who put a nice spin-on the night
My party of 8 was very excited about this meal and we have enjoyed meals at Morimoto restaurants on many occasions. From bad service, to overcooked main courses, even the presentation was reminiscent of Outback Steakhouse. Terrible experience ... and for $500 a person. I didn't realize that asking for the server to bring a non-alcoholic drink was such an inconvenience. Thumbs down.
Incredible experience all around. Thank you to our server Marlee who showed us that excellent, professional service in Maui still exists and to Ryan as well for being so welcoming upon our arrival. Marlee knows the whole menu front to back and suggested fantastic items that we thoroughly enjoyed including one of the best Sake’s I’ve had. 10/10! We will return!
This place is located in the Andaz resort and had free valet for the restaurant. It's expensive but was a great fancier dinner with my friends and I. Server was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and answered all of our questions. Had a ton of gluten free options and even the cheesecake was gluten free. Would go again!
