Morgan's Fine Foods

First time here. Great display of foods in cabinets and on shelves but very pricey and the service really let them down.We ordered 2 flat whites "Sorry we've run out of ordinary milk - we only have skim. Will that do?" Woolworths is less than 50m away; there were 2 people behind the counter and we were the only customers at 3pm. I thought of offering to go get a liter myself but my partner was hungry so we just said, 'Sure', and ordered a frittata with salad and a lemon tart. Food was delicious and nicely presented, and the (Charlie) coffee, was good (even with skim milk). But the very pleasant young woman who served us didn't clear the used teapot or cup from the table, nor wipe it clean. Neither did the chap who brought the food. Then the staff couldn't figure the change when we paid. She said it was 'One of those days' and maybe it was. We'll give it one more go because the food was good... but they need to remember they are in hospitality and make more of an an effort... even on 'those days.'

Morgans was the place to go many years ago for bread, cake, take away fine food, smallgoods. It has changed hands a few times and now offers limited foods, but seem of good quality. an excellent selection of European chocolate, sweets, cakes in store at the moment. a good deli section offering cheese and cold meats.

Morgan's is the sort of place you visit when you want really nice foodstuffs you just can't find elsewhere. They're pricey but excellent in both range and service.

The food here is over priced and under par. I had been before and it was so much better but standards seem to have dropped. Time to pick up the game again.

Unhelpful. Purchased a $55 cake for staff function, it was mouldy.
