Moon Fish Cafe - Table reservation

I would have given the food 5 stars if it were not for the main course of beef rib. I had 2 ribs, one was really nice however the other was 99% soft blubbery fat. It was a shame as the portions are not huge so for half my main to be inedible was not great. The other courses were great, and the wine was delicious. The service is 5 star. I gave 2 starts for the ambiance as it was quite cold in the restaurant and the seating is so uncomfortable. You definitely wouldn't go there for a long relaxing lunch perhaps that the idea! Overall I would recommend Moonfish, I think it was just bad luck my main course was disappointing.

First time for us, well worth the drive. Even though a tasting evening was on the 23/2/18 and it must have been hectic in the kitchen, as a diner there was no indications that anything was happening. Our food was superb, the staff attentive, can't wait to come back and try the evening menu, especially the tasting evening. Regards PaulineT

Very small which is usually nice unless there is a group....then overpowered by group load voices. Food usually good, but not this time. Duck hard to cut with a knife and impossible to chew. Overall this time not worth the price on food quality or ambiance. Servers were good so not a complete fail.

We had an amazing evening at Moonfish Cafe my boyfriend, my sister and myself. We were treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco, and the service was of a very high standard. The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back.

Excellent food, friendly helpful staff, relaxing atmosphere and good background music. The menu is changed regularly so we will keep going back.
