Monty's Steak House

I've been debating for a while writing this review, 5 months to be exact because Monty used to be our place in Woodland Hills. So, on 19. May, without hesitation, we made a reservation to celebrate the day of our friend {now I wonder if we had to find out first in which temperament Ms.Vicki was before we decided to make the reservation}. We were all in good spirits, but at the moment we sat at our table, we felt a clear lack of enthusiasm. Ms.Vicki confronted our server a hard one, never smiled, beyond Snobby, not helping Lady, made us feel unwilling. We left her unavoidable behavior because we didn't want her to ruin the special day of our friend, even if she was free before the food, even if she brought the check with her without letting us order desserts!!! (she knew about the day). In other words, she kicked us out!!! I decided to write this review because everyday l Pass by l remember that nightmare and I wanted to be honest!

Our server was excellent and food was pretty good, but it was hard to enjoy the meal because it was hot, the fans didn?t work, and we were being eaten alive by mosquitos. We sat outside to reduce risk of exposure to Covid, and I was surprised that they didn?t have better ways to handle the heat and bugs. A couple floor level fans probably would?ve helped a lot, but they didn?t have any way to help us except to bring rosemary to the table as a deterrent (didn?t work). I figured since they have been open during the pandemic and built out a beautiful outdoor space, they would also have some simple ways to reduce these types of issues. We ate quick and rushed out as quickly as we could, which isn?t exactly the type of evening I was hoping for.

I have lived in Woodland Hills for 7 years and never went to Monty?s. I regret this because the experience was literally?. Fantastic!!!! Wife Bday, we took the 2 kids and let me tell you I now know that this will be a place that our family will be going to from now on. Bone in Rib-eye, Bacon wrapped shrimp Monty?s Special Lamb shanks, and Sole?.. Best Place in the Valley to eat?.?

Great atmosphere, food is good, not exceptional, but good. Love their salads on special. Service is good as long as your party is 6 or less. Last time it was 12 of us, the server was overwhelmed. We love this place. There are small shortcomings, but who is perfect except my wife?

Good services (Jennifer the waitresses explains and suggested clearly anything you wanted to know. I like services like that) and good foods, can't expect anything more than that.
