We’re visiting my husband’s family and they often go to this lovely family owned Indian restaurant and have always been impressed by the service and food. Atmosphere was quiet on a Tuesday night. Much cuter inside than would be expected from the exterior location. We ordered the puffed rice (bhei poori) and asked for a recommendation for a second appetizer that would be mild. Our server suggested the tangi eggplant, which was so crunchy, like a cracker, with some tamarind sauce. The bhei poori is what we’d consider medium spice but probably mild to others. Lovely blend of flavors and textures. I eat primarily plant based so ordered the dal fry and he said they could make less spicy since it usually comes medium. They succeeded and there was just a small hint of heat which was perfect for me. We planned to share so after they chose tikka masala and a creamy veggie dish, we asked him for another suggestion between two options. He suggested the saag paneer, as providing a better range of colors and flavors. With a couple orders of naan, plus the lovely basmati rice, we could only eat half of the generous portions and brought the rest home. Everything was delicious and we particularly appreciated all the help in selecting off the extensive menu. Vegetarian options: As with most Indian food, it’s easy to find vegetarian options. Also several vegan options.
In 2022, we had ordered such amazing, delicious beautiful foods and desserts from Mod India Restaurant at my work place. Just last week, we had another event at work and we ordered such amazing foods and desserts. Such excellent services with the most perfect delicious foods and desserts I have ever eaten. It was so wonderful to work with Sebastian Bhai when placing the orders. Sebastian Bhai is so gracious and went above and beyond to provide the BEST services and the MOST BEAUTIFUL DELICIOUS foods and desserts. Sebastian Bhai set everything up at the tables perfectly. All the amazing foods and desserts was very much appreciated, enjoyed and so loved by everyone! I will contact Sebastian Bhai again next year when we are ready to have another event at work! Thank you so much to Sebastian Bhai, to the kind gentleman who assisted you and to Mod India Restaurant chefs and staff for making the MOST PERFECT DELICIOUS Foods and providing such excellent services to us and to the community!!! Wow! It was a little hard to find, but well worth finding! Excellent butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and amazing garlic naan!!! Excellent service as well! This was the best Indian food I've had. I've travelled to 38 countries including the UK where Indian food is very popular. This is officially a local treasure. Thank you MOD India. We had Tandoori platter, Lamb Biryani, chicken tikka, lasooni jingha, and bread basket all fabulous and fresh.
