Meson De Candido

Good in parts but spoiled by the attitude. The setting is spectacular, sitting outside in the fading evening sunshine sets the scene for a great evening. Courses were ordered with a decent red wine, but before we could eat the waiter knocked over the wine bottle spilling about a third. Apologies made, the table relayed and starters served. Asparagus salad, baked aubergine, both quite good. The roasted suckling pig was as good as expected and enjoyed. When the bill came problems started. There was no ink in the printer so I’d no idea what we were being charged for. No explanation offered. It was unprofessional and I said so. On taking the blank paper to some illuminated signage I found that I’d been charged for a full bottle of red wine. On complaint this was reduced to a half bottle but priced at a half bottle rate not half the price of the full bottle. No particular apology, just a shrug. A good evening spoilt.

Even though it has a long history, it's not as good as it used to be. Other than the roasted suckling pig, which was decent, every dish was a disappointment. The soup had no flavor and the bread was very dry, not even worth eating for free. The prices were expensive, and the food was not worth it. I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to try it. 千祈唔好食呢間嘢 ，上網search完以為好嘢， 食落真係九唔搭八。除了烤乳豬味道相對正常，每道菜色都讓我失望，湯無味， 麵包十分乾， 唔使錢請我食都唔食呀。價錢貴，唔好食。試其他餐廳啦，我在Segovia食過更好的。如果你只有一餐在Segovia，更加無理由浪費金錢食呢間。 我十分後悔選擇呢間餐廳。

Totally up its own fundament. Food is ok but service is temperamental which is probably a product of its positioning and resulting entitlement. You are also subject to the performative religious worship of the various studente groups in the square. I would try the other restaurants down the street who probably have to make more of an effort.

Very nice Meson with great food traditional lechón Segoviano. Candido did a great job cutting the lechón. Please be advised that a lechón and its show is served for groups larger than 8 persons., otherwise you will not be able to enjoy it.

Amazing food and service. We had the suckling pig, gazpacho and sopa castelliana. We finished with apple tart. We will definitely go back
