Melrose's - Table reservation

Wish I had read the review before booking the Christmas dinner. We had exactly the same experience on Christmas Day, two days ago. Rubbish food, don't know what it he soup was meant to be but it resembled cold sludge. One woman sent hers back...twice because it was cold, as was mine. No bread with the pate, hard sprouts, frozen carrots, a Yorkshire' that was more the consistency of an omelette, Turkey' well! No roasts, no stuffing, lumpy mash, a tiny mince pie with hard as rock pastry and hunt the mince. We asked for a litre of house white which was on the menu at €14.90, we got a 70cl bottle for the same price, we didn't ask for water but they brought us a bottle which we sent back. Then they came with a litre jug of tap water with ice which we thought was complimentary, more fool us, we were charged €3.50 for that. All in all stay clear of this rip off at €30 each, not even worth €3. They should be ashamed.

we arrived at 8.30 a.m. at the silver night in santa barbara and did not want to go for a meal, so decided to stay in the hotel and eat in melrose, we are so satisfied that we did. we decided to celebrate the end...of 2020 with the chateaubriand dinner for 2 and it was fabulous, served by the delicious creamy allioli with the crispy garlic bread in the melt in mouth steak and accompanying sauces. the bottle house red, which included in the price of eur 46 was very pale. all served a very professional but friendly wise. we loved it and thought very good value for money. we were not sure whether we were repeating the experience how often the second time to be disappointed, but we went back this week and had again the same chateaubriand deal we found eating again amazing and the service perfect for us not too fussy, but attentive. highly recommended.

Same as a previous reviewer ....we had the chateaubriand offer at 46 euros for 2 people which included garlic bread and a bottle of Merlot Tempranillo red wine. The garlic bread and creamy garlic dip were fantastic and the steak definitely melts in your mouth....The steak is served with fries, Canarian potatoes with mojo sauce and mediterranean veggies. Service was excellent, very posh but not overpriced highly recommended! A lovely evening.

is currently closed as new licensees are expected. I have appeared and restaurant looks like a site currently. it is unclear if new owners take over this restaurant, I had heard november, but this is just heresay.

Had a family meal here. Food was great , place was very clean and toilets spotless . Staff friendly would recommend.
