Local gem, so glad I found this place. Ate there the week before Christmas with a group of Everyone marveled about their food. The fried calamari was cooked perfectly, the mussels were tender and tasty, as were the fish dishes and homemade pasta. We returned Jan with a party of six before a Kennedy Center show and had an equally great experience. Attentive wait staff accommodated our tight schedule. Entrees at a downtown DC restaurant would be more. Look forward to the next visit.
My pasta with shrimp scampi was excellent, as was the warm bread. Even the olive oil balsamic vinegar were good, too. My martinis also excellent. The owner was very friendly. There were a nice mix of customers. Overall, the decor was beautiful. I loved the red walls, the lights, the bar, the balls hanging from the ceiling, the pierced tin ceiling. It was charming and pleasant.
Food was very delicious.. Service was good..could need a little improvement but they were busy because it was New Years Eve.. so I will give them a pass..inside the noise level was very loud.. again itâs New Years Eve..but the food was excellent!! We will definitely come back
Several drink orders never arrived. The owner was amazing, so friendly and helpful but our waitress was never around and took minutes to bring us our check. Had the waitress been like the owner, it would have been a star experience.
