I went here with my 10 year old niece. I 've not been for a while. It used to be friendly and a worthwhile place to go for a quick snack. All has changed. The bin outside said it all. The counter is very bland and boring to look at now. The layout of the eating area is awful. Not appealing at all. The staff.... Well what can I say. There was one young girl in front of me. I was paying by good old cash, as was she. There were two young males stood sorting orders who didn 't even acknowledge us. They were chatting about something. I eventually had to shout if we could have some service please and a young girl appeared. She served the girl in front and when I ordered I had to repeat myself 3 times. I sat down to eat my chicken legend and no mayo had been put on it. Fair enough, I can cope with that but I decided I wanted some. I approached the counter and asked the young lad for some, and what did he say...... I will have to get the manager !!!! What? The manager then came and asked me what was wrong. Nothing, I would just like the mayonnaise that the meal should have come with. Off he trots and puts some mayonnaise in a tub and hands it to me! I despair. The girl that was served previous to me had her order changed 3 times and then gave up. I wouldn 't mind but there were 5 people in the place... Friday afternoon at 4pm. This used to be a hub where you would see local people and have a catch up. Not anymore. The customer service is abismal. Never again.

Today I went to the mcdonalds in skipton with a work colleague. I entered with my t-shirt over my mouth and nose as I had forgot my face mask. As I walked in the lady behind the counter said you have no face mask no entry and she said this abit rude. I said I have my t-shirt over my face and nose which counts as a face cover still. As I have checked on gov website that any face covering to make you feel comfortable is acceptable. I said I will keep it over my face till I leave store so can I continue to order on the computers and she agreed. So I start to make my order and then the manager comes over being really rude telling me to leave store I said my face is covered and that staff behind the counter said its fine he then said really loud he doesn't care its the law and to leave. At this point I was starting to feel embarrassed and intimidated as every1 in store was looking so I left. Then he went to my work colleague and starts shouting at him. He tells him he is exempt and the manager comes back over to my work colleague and says the lady had said we were rude and refused to leave which was not true and that he will speak to customers how they speak to staff. Worst experience ever at a mcdonalds.

There is a reason this McDonald’s is 2 1/2 stars. The guy on the drive through got my order wrong TWICE, and I got to the collection window, there was an issue with the card reader and was rudely told by what looked like a manager to go all the way round and back to the first window with a queue. First time I’ve visited a McDonald’s and left with bad service and no food!!

McDonalds home of the Big Mac. Except there weren’t any. Rather comical. They had no Big Macs and we ordered another burger and asked for extra cheese and the answer was ‘can’t do that’. No apologies useless customer service. A joke I’m afraid...
