Extremely rude staff. My family was completely ignored. The staff made it obvious that we were not welcome at this establishment. Complete discrimination!! After reviewing other 1 star posts it seems this is a pattern. UPDATE To OwnerResponse: The discrimination was toward me and my kids, at least it felt that way. My husband and I came in with our 3 year oldand 1 year old. We were sat and then never spoken to again. We sat for 15 minutes or longer. Two tables came in after us and gotservice. Nobody came to take our order. We have been coming for years. Native to Franklin. Never again! and I have told everyonewhat to expect going with small children. The staff made it blatantly obvious that we were not welcome. Also just to add. Theprevious time we came in with, just the adults the fish n chips were just awful. Don 't know what happened there but wedecided to give one more chance before leaving a review so there 's that too.
Go ahead and load up in your car and head this way. I will not lie and say that McCreary?s wasn?t my first option, but I loved that it was downtown Franklin. We loaded up and got seated in a cozy close knit room, and reminded me of my time in Ireland. Wedecided we would split a couple entrees a appetizer, and some soup and we were NOT disappointed. The bangers and mash are amust, and mix well with their soda bread. We then got our side cup of potato soup of the day, and it was easily one of myfavorites I had. We then split the fish and chips and Jam (I think) burger. Everything was truly so so good, and we both said itwas the most satisfied we have been at a restaurant in a long time. The prices are very fair and the food speaks for it. AddMcCreary?s to your must go list and enjoy a great environment, good food, and great service.
We love this place so much!! We found it recently when we were visiting Franklin for a day trip saw all of the good reviews were happy we decided to stop. The fish chips are always fresh and wonderful to eat. Though, my favorites are the appetizers such as the egg rolls sausage. They never cease to disappoint. On our last trip I was beyond pleased with the service because we had our dog with us the waitress was accommodating to ours and his needs.
Had the shortest wait of the 3 restaurants we tried going to. Server was great but the food lacked. Fish and chips were a bit greasy, chips looked to be from the bag. Pot pie over peppered and was all could taste. Everything food wise was just ok,nothing to get excited about unfortunately.
